Richard Allen

Investment Administrator

Richard Allen has almost 20 years' management experience in corporate & investment banking operations in London and the United States. He was most recently Account Manager for the London office of BNP Paribas, an investment bank.

Richard holds a BTEC First Diploma in Computer Programming and Information Technology. He began his career in financial services in 2000 as a Contracts Clerk for Pershing Securities in London. Pershing is part of the BNY Mellon Group and provides a broad range of financial business solutions to investment banks, broker-dealers, wealth managers, financial planners and advisers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Richard subsequently worked for HSBC Global Investments and Schroders, before spending 7 years at Penson Financial, where he was Head of Settlements. While at Penson, Richard was a key member of the team that implemented the GBST Institutional Capital Markets platform.

After Penson, Richard joined SEI Investments in London as a manager in the Securities Operations division. SEI manages or administers $1 trillion (762 billion GBP) in capital for hedge funds, private equity and mutual funds. Richard was part of the project team that successfully transitioned operations from the US to the UK in the space of 1 month.     

Richard has also worked at IFDS group where he was Senior Manager for client finance platforms across the wealth division. IFDS is a joint venture with US-based State Street Corporation. State Street is the world's largest custodian bank and administers US$31.6 trillion in assets.

He relocated to Johannesburg in 2018 with his South African wife and daughter.
